A.J. is grateful to his family and his friends for their loving-kindness and support, but especially his Other Mothers, Tequila and Geneva, for believing in him and dragging him – screaming – into the fabulous world of The Dolls.
Russell Maynor: Director/Actor
Russell Maynor began his career with The Dolls as a photographer and designer seven years ago, creating original and dynamic packaging for the Dolls brand. (The Dolls posters are so popular that they have been consistently stolen by rabid fans! For the 2009 Revenge of the Nutcracker production, posters were sold for the first time, quickly selling out the entire inventory). He moved up The Dolls food chain to direct the stage hit “Revolting Drag Queens- The Stonewall Story” at The Vortex in 2007. He realized that the future of The Dolls was film and set out to become grounded in production and film direction within the local film community and in Hollywood. He has worked under local directors and producers on numerous small films and commercials, both in Albuquerque and Hollywood, and has established a reputation for creativity, commitment, and working under very tight deadlines.
